VET Curriculum Frameworks


Industry Curriculum Frameworks

Industry Curriculum Framework documents contain the HSC VET courses to be delivered for the HSC by schools, TAFE NSW colleges and other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) on behalf of schools or TAFE NSW colleges.

The purpose of the industry curriculum framework documents is to assist teachers and trainers to develop teaching and assessment programs, and to help manage competency achievement by HSC candidates.

Exclusions are applied to HSC VET courses where there is significant overlap with other HSC courses.

If a student is also entered in a VET Board Endorsed Course check the endorsed course description for possible exclusions. This includes:

  • VET CEC – Content Endorsed Course which may be delivered by School System RTOs, TAFE NSW or private providers
  • TVET CEC – TAFE NSW Content Endorsed Course delivered by TAFE NSW only
  • LDC – Locally Designed Board Endorsed Course delivered by School System RTOs or private providers
  • TVET LDC – TAFE NSW Locally Designed Board Endorsed Course delivered by TAFE NSW only.
