NSW Institute of Teachers' endorsed provider of Institute Registered professional development for the maintenance of accreditation at Professional Competence.

Scope of Endorsement - Elements 3, and 6, and Standard 7.2.4 of the Professional Teaching Standards at Professional Competence.

The following events are professional development opportunities available through the Board of Studies NSW. These events are endorsed by the NSW Institute of Teachers (NSWIT).

Board of Studies Preliminary Grading Workshops

This workshop is for school executive who wish to lead professional learning in this area in their school and for teaching staff of Stage 6 who wish to develop their professional skills in the grading process using the Common Grade Scale for Preliminary Courses.

The workshop will highlight the concept and issues underlying standards-based assessment and consistency of teacher judgement.

Completing this course will be acknowledged with two hours of accreditation. This program will address the following Professional Teaching Standard: 3.2.5, 3.2.6, 3.2.9, 3.2.10, 6.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.6 and 7.2.4

Board of Studies Information workshops

This workshop is for teachers and covers the Board of Studies assessment and credentialling for Years 10, 11 and 12. Completing this course will be acknowledged with six hours of accreditation. This program will address the following Professional Teaching Standard: 3.2.5, 3.2.8, 6.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.8 and 7.2.4
